Caritas Cyprus Participates in MedMA Conference on Integration

Organized by the Mediterranean Migration & Asylum Policy Hub (MedMA) under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Protection, the recent Β conference β€œππšπ­π’π¨π§πšπ₯ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧 π’π­π«πšπ­πžπ π² 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐒𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 2026–29: 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 π“π‘πžπ¨π«π² 𝐭𝐨 ππ«πšπœπ­π’πœπžβ€ in Nicosia, Cyprus, was a valuable and valued opportunity to discuss how better coordination between government bodies, local authorities and civil society can move integration forward swiftly and effectively. With relevant case studies from Greece as well, the conference brought together policymakers, local authorities, civil society organizations, frontline practitioners, migration experts, and members of the public to discuss the future of migrant integration in Cyprus. Caritas Cyprus contributed its perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of implementing the National Action Plan for Integration as part of a panel with officers from the Deputy Ministry and the European Funds Directorate.
