Throughout the summer, Caritas Cyprus and Dignity Center/Refugee Support Europe got out of Nicosia to get to know other groups supporting vulnerable people around the island. Hosted by Our Lady of Graces Church in Larnaca, the Church Mera in Paralimni and the Learning Refuge in Paphos, these visits provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between civil society actors in the sector–all of whom face the same challenges. While in each location, the group was able to answer questions and enquiries for people in person rather than from a distance and to better understand the conditions the poor, asylum seekers and refugees face outside of Nicosia.
