Caritas Cyprus welcomed the visit of colleagues from the Caritas Association of the Diocese of Augsburg in Germany on April 30. In Cyprus as part of an EU Erasmus+ mobility exchange, the social workers discussed the migration counseling services offered to refugees settling in Germany or considering return to their home countries; in turn, Caritas Cyprus outlined the current migration challenges facing the island and described the work that Caritas Cyprus does. After an interactive and fruitful discussion—including on cases of migrants who moved from Cyprus to Germany—the visitors participated in the afternoon “learning through games” activity in the Caritas Center meeting a multicultural group of Nicosia residents.
