The “Perceptions Handbook: A Guide to Understanding Migration Narratives and Addressing Migration Challenges” was created to provide migration stakeholders with information and tools to improve their understanding of how perceptions are formed and what role (mis) information plays in decisions to move toward Europe. The Handbook is available online and is based on empirical research conducted as part of the Perceptions research project. Perceptions was funded by the European Commission under the Horizon2020 Programme; it brought together 26 partners (universities, research organizations, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations—including Caritas Cyprus—and border authorities) in 15 different European and Middle Eastern and North African countries to inform EU policy debates regarding migration.
