What better way to get to know Cyprus than through its art and archaeology? To introduce newcomers to the rich history of the island, Caritas Cyprus organizes various activities taking advantage of Nicosia’s diverse museums. In January, intern Daniel Frel led a tour of the Cyprus Archaeological Museum. Using different artefacts from stone tools to ceramic pottery to gold jewelry, he walked the group through the thousands of years between the Neolithic period and Roman times. Genuine in their interest to get to know Cyprus and their neighbors, the group asked questions and left with new insights into the cultural heritage around them.
