Caritas Cyprus was honored with a certificate of Outstanding Contribution to the field of human rights by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and Public Order and the Commissioner for Administration and Protection of Human Rights as part of the Republic’s celebration for Human Rights Day 2023. The certificate was presented at the December 28 awards ceremony for the Stella Soulioti Human Rights Award named for Cyprus’ first woman lawyer, first woman government minister and first woman Attorney General. Congratulations to the winner—the Cyprus Paraplegics Organization who works to upgrade the standard of living of people with spinal cord injuries—and to Generation for Change Cyprus who likewise received a certificate for its work.
