The recently published Caritas CARES! European Poverty Report focuses on the challenges that must be tackled to make European labour markets more accessible and inclusive, based on Caritas’ vision for sustainable social models. The 2021 Country Report, which includes European wide and national recommendations, was launched at a February 21, 2022, event that brought together Caritas organizations across Europe, EU policymakers and other strategic partners. The event was moderated by Ms. Maria Nyman, Secretary General of Caritas Europa and featured a keynote address from the EU Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli and presentations from a variety of speakers including Caritas Cyprus’ Board member Gosia Chrysanthou.
