Language is a key driver for integration. Better language skills lead to positive contact between neighbors including between newcomers and their host communities. To try to overcome some of the barriers to language learning faced by migrants in Cyprus, Caritas Cyprus organized informal classes in Greek and English aimed at improving basic language skills for everyday communication. Participants in this summer’s “Greek for Newcomers to Cyprus” and “Conversational English” classes were honored at a certificate ceremony on Friday, August 18. Bravo and Μπράβο!
