The workplace is an important avenue through which migrants and refugees can contribute to and integrate into the broader social fabric of their host community. At a recent training session organized by the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) in the context of the EU-funded ENFEM project, Caritas Cyprus’ Agne Semenaite discussed her experience assisting migrant women overcome the practical barriers that can hinder employment. The “Breaking Barriers, Building Skills” training session took place at the unique venue of Gardens of the Future in Nicosia and included over a dozen participants hoping to contribute their skills to the local labor market.
