In Nicosia and Larnaca, Caritas Cyprus’ Migrant Centres are open weekdays to provide a place for migrants to socialize with others, to access legal, healthcare, and psycho-social support, to learn languages and, if necessary, to access food, clothing and other humanitarian services.
The Learning Refuge
In Pafos, the Learning Refuge offers a safe place for families, mainly women, and children, to meet for friendship rest, where children can play. It is also a place that provides language training to adults and children as well as other activities including gardening and art.
In Nicosia, Caritas Cyprus’ Migrant Shelters provide temporary emergency accommodation to migrant men and migrant women with children. The Men’s Shelter accommodates up to 12 men and the Women’s Shelter accommodates up to nine women and four children depending on the composition of the family.
